Erinn Hartley talks about transforming pain into community

As a queer leader in the Asheville arts community, Erinn’s inclusive and empathetic approach has built strong connections for people on the fringes of society and the arts world.

About the speaker

Erinn Hartley is a theatre artist with a passion for fostering creativity and collaboration. She is the Executive Artistic Director and founder of Anam Cara Theatre, Associate Director of LEAF Global Arts, and the Artistic Director of Asheville Fringe Arts Festival. Erinn believes in making the arts accessible to all and creating an inclusive space for artistic expression. She has a commitment to pushing boundaries and redefining artistic expression through ensemble-created work. Erinn enjoys teaching arts educators in Buncombe County. She is the mother of a super creative eight year old and a sweet, music-loving six-year old. She is so proud to have directed, produced and facilitated the excellent work of collaborators and creators, some of whom she has known and respected for almost 15 years in this incredible city.
