About the speaker

Zhesi Zhuang lives in the space between parallel lives—who we are and who we aspire to be. When she signed up for the Zion National Park 30K Trail Run without prior experience, she wasn't waiting for perfect preparation or the "right time." She was choosing which parallel track to follow.

After losing nearly 100 pounds in a single year, Zhesi recognized that weight loss isn't complex—it's the consistency and self-discipline that create the challenge. This insight led her to establish Club 949, an active community where members hold themselves accountable and bridge the gap between intention and action.

"We're promised nothing beyond this moment," Zhesi often reminds herself and others. "Start now and start messy. Progress doesn't wait for perfection."

With her David Goggins-inspired mindset, Zhesi encourages others to embrace looking "stupid" as the ultimate fashion statement for personal transformation. Whether tackling fitness goals, launching businesses, or pursuing creative endeavors, she believes the greatest teacher is experience itself.

In a world where parallel lives often maintain the same distance of anonymity between them, Zhesi's work demonstrates how we can reach across that gap and make meaningful connections. Through her social platforms and Club 949, she creates intersections where parallel journeys can meet, reminding us that while mathematics may prove parallel lines never meet, human lives don't run in straight lines.

Join us as Zhesi shares how the small decisions we make each day determine which parallel track we follow—and how surrounding ourselves with big thinkers can expand our vision beyond the limitations of our current reality.
