Embrace the crummy
Joining us this month on the global theme of ‘Spectrum’ is Chloe Smith — a multidisciplinary artist of Chinese and Papua New Guinean heritage, currently based on the South Coast of NSW. Working primarily in textiles under her pseudonym I Make Soft Food—Chloe makes meticulously crafted and often darkly humorous soft-sculptural replicas of the mundane. Chloe will be chatting to us about how recent times have challenged us all to come face-to-face with some uncomfortable feelings. How can art invite us to sit with the full spectrum of responses and embrace the crummy that comes with being human.
