About the speaker

Mira Helenius Martinsson born and raised in Finland. She enjoyed a diversified career after graduating as a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering, when she decided to start dancing professionally. She moved to Härnösand Sweden to start dancing at Norrdans. Mira was the Artistic Director of Norrdans from 2007 - 2018 and has since 2019 been the Artistic Director of Skånes Dansteater. Mira is well-connected in Swedish, Scandinavian and international networks of dancers, choreographers, organisations and creatives. She has been a board member of The Royal Swedish Opera (2011–2018), special advisor for Kulturbryggan, part of the Swedish Arts Grants Commitee (2015–2017), developer, project coordinator and expert in the creation of the regional arts plan for Västernorrland.

For Creative Mornings Malmö, Mira will be discussing and addressing the issue of TRANSIT from a personal perspective as a dancer and director. The event will be an interview where we discuss and try to understand what is needed from us as individuals when the aim is sustainable development.
