About the speaker
Erica Prather has been an artist in residence at three National Parks - Joshua Tree, Great Sand Dunes, and Petrified Forest. She is the author of a book, which she self-published this year - a poetry and prose collection called Kneeling at the Juniper. Erica is a union organizer, having successfully unionized Defenders of Wildlife and WildEarth Guardians. She also founded Green Union Hall, a peer to peer network for folks who want to organize their workplaces. Most recently, she began experimenting with neighborhood collective action through the Amphi Women and Girls Union.
She believes that creating the world we want to live in through collectivizing our power is an unrecognized creative act.
