About the speaker
Nicholas Gerard is a community builder and business development leader with over a decade of experience helping creators, organisers, and brands grow through events.
As part of the founding Singapore team at Peatix — a leading ticketing and event platform across Southeast Asia and Japan — he has worked with hundreds of organisers to grow their audiences, sharpen their go-to-market strategies, and build partnerships that deliver real impact.
Beyond his platform work, Nicholas builds communities from the ground up. He co-founded Type-A Breakfast, a morning productivity meetup, served on the WEB3WED committee, an inclusive Web3 community, and is currently building a University of London Alumni network here in Singapore.
His work sits at the intersection of community-led growth, strategic partnerships, and the simple belief that the only way to receive is to first give.

PPP Coffee believes that every coffee has a story. Each bag and cup is a chance to connect with customers and honour the many hands behind it. Since starting as a small-batch specialty roaster in 2009 — funded by tips from strangers-turned-friends at their humble Hooper Road hideout, Papa Palheta — people have been at their core. Beyond sourcing, roasting, and serving coffee, they aim to inspire and connect communities.

New Bahru (Bahru meaning “New” in Malay) reflects the hope of bringing together a new creative community, and is a cheeky nod to our city’s penchant for repeating words for emphasis (like swee-swee, jalan-jalan, play-play…).
Conceptualised and curated by homegrown hospitality company The Lo & Behold Group, New Bahru showcases a different side of our city—soulful, creative, just as it is clean and efficient.“
