About the speaker
Back for the third year, we’re celebrating all the things that make our New York community a beacon of creative life.
Come cheer on your fellow community members as they share their creative works in progress, daydreams, and masterpieces on the Invisible Dog stage on August 2nd! (See how awesome it was last year.)
Local partners
Presenting Partner — The David Prize The David Prize celebrates New Yorkers with ideas for extraordinary change, awarding five individuals $200,000 each in no-strings-attached funding to support their ideas for a brighter, better New York. They believe that New York City’s best and biggest resource is its people and that New Yorkers who are proximate to the City’s greatest challenges will build the best solutions. The Prize is open to any individual working in the five boroughs, and welcomes those with the vision and conviction to change our communities, our culture, and our future for good. The next Open Call will be open for submissions in September 2024.
Local Partner — Harvest
Harvest is a web-based time tracking and invoicing application relied on by thousands of people around the world, from freelancers to small businesses to departments of Fortune 500 companies. Harvest founders Danny Wen and Shawn Liu had searched for tools to help their agency scale with more efficient methods to track time and send invoices. Unable to find one, they invested their own time, energy, and money into creating what they knew was a better way to run the business—and Harvest was born.
Venue Partner - The Invisible Dog Art Center The Invisible Dog Art Center opened in October, 2009, a raw space in a vast converted factory building with a charmed history and an open-ended mission: to create, from the ground up, a new kind of interdisciplinary arts center that presents visual art exhibits; dance, theater, and music performances; film screenings; literary arts and poetry readings; lectures; community events; and more.
