It’s a brave thing to share something that’s not your best yet.

Megan Gozalez tells the story of MaeMae Paperie and talks about fear of change, hunting and gathering, growing a business, showing your work, and rediscovering joy.

About the speaker

Megan spends her time listening to stories, hunting for inspiration, and building brands. She established her own nationally recognized stationery brand that matured into much more. Along the way she developed effective creative processes, built tools to embrace a niche audience, and structured her company around the life she wanted. Megan is passionate about sharing what she has learned throughout her journey with other entrepreneurs and creatives.

After years of juggling the responsibilities of owning a small business, she refined her services to better utilize her strengths. This month, Megan will share the story of her business MaeMae, and the pivotal moments that led her to change to make people happy, change because she had to, and finally change because she wanted to. This subject of “Change" comes at a serendipitous time with Megan living through the “change because she wants to” chapter of her career.

Megan works as a graphic designer, photo stylist, interior designer, and consultant. She is known for her textured patterns, clever play with color, and ability to bring a client’s vision to life. Her style is layered and cheerful with a unique mix of old and new.
