About Martinus Evans

Martinus Evans’ running journey began when he went to an orthopedic specialist for hip pain, and the doctor told him he was too heavy. At 370 lbs, he decided to run a marathon. He started his blog 300 Pounds and Running not as a weight loss blog, a running blog, or a health lifestyle blog, but rather as a self-improvement blog — focused on overcoming psychological barriers and dealing with traumas. Since then, he founded the Slow AF Run Club to empower every person on this planet to become a runner in the body they have right now. Their goal is to help you become the runner you were born to be, celebrate diversity in running, and change the sport one step at a time! Martinus' upcoming book Slow AF Run Club: The Ultimate Guide for Anyone Who Wants to Run will be released on June 6, 2023.
