About this Club
“Making Comics” Club is a group drawing event where we’ll work through exercises from Lynda Barry’s iconic book “Making Comics.”
No experience needed, just bring your most playful inner child!

✔️ Any preferred pens or markers✔️ Loose sheets of drawing paper or a sketchbook where you can tear out paper
ABOUT YOUR HOST
I’m Carolyn, an artist and illustrator based in Brooklyn, NY. I also write SEE YOU, a weekly newsletter for fostering creative growth & self-discovery. “Making Comics” club was born from a desire to intentionally practice drawing from imagination, something I resist often out of fear or judgment of my own drawings. Lynda Barry’s curriculum has the recipes for discovering play and possibility from our drawings! As she puts it, “you don’t have to like the way your drawings look for them to start to work.” Let’s witness the magic that unfolds from drawing from imagination together!
