This is the power of silence. ~ author unknown” Beginning with this quote, Lois walks us through her journey which resembles a meandering river, with one true constant; art. Despite brushing it aside; like the current of water, the artist in her kept showing up. Illustrated through events in her life, Lois invites us to truly listen to our inner calling; to follow the ‘must’ rather than ‘should’ and live to our fullest potential.
About the speaker
Lois Seco is a visual artist and designer from Merthyr Tydfil. After spending a few years in Toronto and Brazil, Lois now has a studio in Cardiff and an ongoing art residency at Project One. Her current body of work consists of large, abstract resin pieces as well as smaller, brightly coloured ink works.
Creative expression for Lois is about the journey of discovering beauty, wonder and not being afraid to challenge or ask questions. At this month’s CreativeMornings, Lois will be sharing her thoughts and journey through the theme of silence, asking thought provoking questions to challenge and inspire us all to disconnect in order to re-connect.
