About the speaker
Marco Loricchio is a hospitality and events specialist based in Helsinki, working across food, fashion, and lifestyle—spaces where people gather, connect, and create culture together. Most recently, he co-founded Byroo (@byroo.club), a coffee shop designed as a social room and hangout space where hosting becomes an ongoing exploration of community.
Fairly easy-going yet delightfully chaotic, and almost always dressed a little over the top for the occasion, Marco jokingly describes himself as a knock-off Carrie Bradshaw. Bags, shoes, good food, massive dinners with friends—and yes, men and wine—are all part of the equation.
At heart, Marco is a host: someone who believes he can find his way to almost any person. His approach to life and hospitality is big, bold, and loud—because the best gatherings usually are.
Having moved across places, cultures, and roles, Marco has spent years exploring what it means to belong somewhere. In his talk, he dives into the idea of locality: who gets to be “local,” what that identity really means, and how our shifting definitions of belonging shape both communities and the individuals within them.

Zestii is a marketplace connecting home cooks, suppliers and customers. We create opportunities for home cooks to bring their food to customers with a promise of quality.
Sustainability is really important to us and we encourage local sourcing where possible, plus all our food is served in either compostable or reusable containers. An order with Zestii is not only a delicious meal, it is an act of support for the local economy.
If you have a talent for good home cooking or you have some great local produce to sell, join us as a cook or supplier! Zestii is a community of people who love food - cooking it, eating it and producing it. Join us and help make a difference!
