Alexandra Phipps

Founder at Verve.

Denver, CO, USA

I’m Alexandra “Lexie” Phipps, a strategy and communications consultant with over a decade of experience working alongside executives from nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies. My passion lies in the social impact sector, which led me to found Verve Strategy, where I collaborate with people who inspire me—those committed to leaving the world better than they found it.

My special sauce is helping people discover their special sauce. I work closely with founders, small business owners, and socially conscious organizations to clarify their vision and communicate their stories authentically. Whether it’s brand strategy, personal branding, or service design, my holistic approach ensures my clients can confidently convey their unique value and purpose.

After moving from Virginia, to New Zealand, to Brooklyn, I now call Denver home, where I live with my husband, daughter, and labradoodle. I’m passionate about entrepreneurship and love cheering on new business owners, finding great joy in helping others start their own ventures. Outside of work, I’ve fully embraced the Colorado lifestyle—leaving early on Fridays to snag the best camping spot and braving 4am blizzard traffic for a perfect powder day.

About this FieldTrip

“Personal branding” often feels inauthentic or self-important, and the thought of building your own may make you want to dive under a duvet. That’s OK—this workshop is for the reluctant!

Personal branding is about finding clarity: what inspires you, what you’re great at, and how you show up in the world. This clarity lets you project your true self, attracting the right people and building trust and credibility.

Whether you’re a freelancer, entrepreneur, or employee, we all benefit from owning what makes us unique. Join us to explore your purpose, values, and strengths—and leave with clear next steps to show up more confidently.

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.

Support each other

We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things.  Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.

Not vibing?

It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
