Just keep hustling, be smart, do not waste money on a Caramel Macchiato or Avocado Toast. Then you too can get rich.

These are just some of the messages we encounter daily. In the 21st century, as lots of other things, finances have become an increasingly personal and individual topic. It is all up to us it seems to become successful and wealthy. In this talk Lisa Severing, trained sociologist and certified financial advisor, highlights why all this is not enough or better why it does actually distract from the underlying problems. She shows us where the real roots of wealth discrepancies lie, which role unfair power dynamics play and how forced narratives keep us feeling guilty. Together, we will look back to understand, what really needs to change to reach fair wealth distribution. Spoiler: You can keep your coffee.
