INKXIETY, a form of anxiety expressed by means of art-making activities such as through drawing.
The medium of black ink is Lala’s hitherto most favored means to convey her visual language on papers, walls or any workable surfaces. The thing that keeps fueling her to work with it is not mere creativity but anxiety; a trait, she believes, inherent in and shared by every human being.
Anxiety has brought Lala through career changes; from producing radio show to being business development officer, to visual merchandiser, to graphic designer, blogger, writer, event organizer, interior stylist and editor. Eventually her attachment toward the medium has created a fellowship between them in art-creating converging to what she would call “INKXIETY”, a form of anxiety expressed by means of art-making activities such as through drawing.
