About the speaker

Every day decisions are made about the design of our environment that have a ripple effect on our health as individuals and as a society of people sharing space. It could be a door handle, the layout of your office, or the placement of a building on a hillside – these elements of our environment can have an incredible impact on our bodies.

Julia Bürgi evades labels - a Swiss-American third culture kid with degrees in architecture and urbanism studies and years of work in public health. In this nexus, Julia has specialized in infection control and the way our surroundings influence our health. Her global mindset and passion for addressing social impact issues with a design-centric lens has taken her across the globe… and landed her in Zürich.

A better understanding of basic design principles and interventions can help us live healthier and more sustainable lives as residents of a shared world.
Learn how to spot design successes and pitfalls in your surroundings and apply smart decisions to make your own space healthy for yourself and others.

We are delighted to be teaming up with CreativeMornings Zurich, which mainly host this event, in English.
