About the speaker
Jonathan is a maker, teacher, advisor, and leader whose career spans founding venture-backed tech startups in Silicon Valley (see https://storenvy.com) and launching a large-scale Burning Man theme camp (https://hotellobby.camp). Creativity, teaching, and community have always been in his DNA—whether he’s speaking and mentoring entrepreneurs around the world or rolling up his sleeves for his own projects.
He cut his teeth in the mid-2000s by founding a web design shop, rubbing elbows with some of the brightest lights in the KC design world before embarking on a decade-long startup hustle in San Francisco (where the coffee is as abundant as brilliant ideas). Now back in KC, he’s excited to elevate the community of creatives and creators, and he’s been a familiar face at CreativeMornings since the late 2000s in both KC and SF.

We create excellent, artisan-level roasts from the best coffees available while taking care of our coffee farmers in a way that goes above and beyond the status quo. We are head over heels for discovering new coffees, artfully coaxing out the best characteristics of the bean for you to enjoy. Messenger Coffee is beyond fair trade sourced and manually roasted in Kansas City.
