June 14, 8:30am - 10:00am PDT. Hosted at The Collective
part of a series on Wonder
About the speaker
Jim Haven is strategic branding and creative expert that also dabbles in wonder. He spent his formative years in advertising and design working his way from Portland, to San Francisco and then Amsterdam before co-founding Creature a creative agency. He now operates Applied Daydreams, a brand consultancy, splitting time between London and Seattle. Space has always been an influence, yet a chance encounter with Saturn a few years ago reacquainted him with wonder. He founded Look Up in 2016 attempting to organize this obsession and serves on the board of The DIRAC Institute (Data Intensive Research in Astrophysics and Cosmology) at the University of Washington. As an accidental expert on wonder, he has spoken at random organizations such as Google, The Brunswick School and TEDx. However, mostly he sometimes thinks about soccer all the time.
