About the speaker
Jason Cooper and Jason McGuigan are the Director of Multimedia and Creative Director at Horizon Productions, which has over 35 years of consumer marketing experience that they're now translating into Virtual Reality products.
Jason and Jason lead a talented team that has developed VR projects for a wide array of clientele including IBM, Quintiles, Cree, Scotts, Eaton, AT&T, UNC and Duke. Horizon is also the Official Virtual Reality Partner of North Carolina FC.
They were selected as one of the only groups on the East Coast to be granted access to Google VR's Jump platform and GoPro's Odyssey camera. This exclusive partnership allows them to create stereoscopic 3D 360° videos in a fraction of the time, by using Google’s cloud-based algorithm to process and stitch all of their footage.
The Jasons have partnered together at Horizon for over 10 years, evolving "Horizon Video Productions" into the full service creative agency it is today. They've both worked and taught design at higher-ed institutions - Cooper at his alma mater UNC and McGuigan at Hendriks in New York – and continue to collaborate across campuses here in the Triangle.
They are currently focused on the non-gaming applications of VR/AR technology – education, marketing, sales tools, research, training, filmmaking, tradeshows, and event installations.
