Creative Producer | FieldTrips at CreativeMornings, SF.
Amanda (#amandaland!) is a creative producer, communications strategist, and extroverted connector. As a hybrid in business and design, she grew up in the ad and marketing world, partnering with art & design executives building all sorts of fun stuff. From 9-5 she’s a PM for One Workplace, a commercial design company and furniture dealer. And from 5-9, she is an event producer for Creative Morning FieldTrips, and a freelance creative producer. She loves exotic plants, sunny travel, modern vintage, and open spaces to play. Sustainability is part of her everyday.
Traditional methods meets contemporary design. Learn traditional hand embroidery with SFSNAD and craft your own custom napkin, or tea towel on vintage textiles!

Learn about water soluble markers and how they are used to transfer designs onto fabric. Then try out embroidery to create your own future piece. The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.
Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.
Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!
Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.
We’re all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things. Try “Yes! And…” in conversation.
It’s 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
