part of a series on Divergent
After a career of interesting jobs in the voluntary sector Heather plunged into the commercial world as sidekick to creative maverick and fixer TonyG. 18 years after co-founding their business, Heather now finds herself not only at the helm of a diverse company, but permanently up in the crows’ nest looking out for the next bit of land to head towards. Heather describes herself as a one-armed bandit of ideas. A creative thinker driven by an off-beat sense of humour, a passionate desire for connection and a desire to change the world one conversation at a time.
Heather on the theme: Divergent
Having a strong purpose and a clear idea of ‘who’ we are and ‘how’ we do things means ‘what’ we do can alter with the times. TonyG began life as a physical producer of stuff to help people sell more stuff. As the world thankfully transitions away from a throw-away society, applying our core values to what we now make is critical. We are learning how to be the same whilst being utterly different. Like tributaries finding their way to open water, our job as business leaders is to create the right conditions and allow the water to flow.
Heather’s talk will be part of Warwick District Council’s Spark Conference so to join us for the talk, head to https://www.warwickdc.gov.uk/spark2021 to access the CreativeMornings talk and to access any of the other talks on issues facing the regions creative industries.
