Press cartoons, freedom of speech and the sacred

Gérald Herrmann was born in 1958 in the town of La Chaux-de-Fonds in the canton of Neuchâtel. He studied litterature and taught German for some years in Geneva. In 1987, he was hired as a caricaturist for the Courrier de Genève, a popular satirical newspaper in Geneva. He pursued his career, working for L'Hebdo, La Liberté de Fribourg and the SonntagsZeitung. Since 15 years, he has been drawing principally for La Tribune de Genève.
