Georgia Perry, a self proclaimed lover of colour talks about drawing inspiration from everything around us, the way we perceive colour and how it impacts our everyday lives.
About the speaker
Georgia Perry was born a bush baby to artist parents, way out in Broken Hill (Mad Max country) and is now a graphic artist living and working in Melbourne. After escaping the desert, Georgia lived and worked her way through London, South Africa and Amsterdam, constantly experimenting with her image-making. Drawing inspiration from places as diverse as mid-century advertising, Australian surf graphics of the 80s, children’s books and Japanese poster design, Georgia’s work is characterised by simple colours and bold shapes. Georgia loves eating snacks and working hard.
