About the speaker
Gareth Pearson and Michael Tymbios are the co-founders of First Thursdays, a public cultural experience that happens in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
What started in November 2012 with only six art galleries keeping their doors open after hours has grown into one of Cape Town's foremost cultural experiences – attracting thousands of people every month.
Through their company Thursdays Projects they're working on an increasing number of initiatives at the intersection of culture, commerce, and urban space.
