For this segment on INK, we invited one of the most celebrated tattoo artists in the biz, and he did not disappoint. In this very special moment, we learn from the mouth of the horse about the history of tattooing and what it became in the West Coast, more specifically in the Bay Area. Freddy tells us entertaining stories about his life coming up in the tattoo industry, from his apprenticeship with Ed Hardy to the opening of his shop in downtown Oakland; talk to be remembered.

About the speaker

Freddy Corbin is a tattoo artist based in Oakland, tattooing out of Temple Tattoo. He has been credited with popularizing the sugar skull style of tattoo. He has even played a part in the show Sons of Anarchy.
