About the speaker
Francesco Zorzi is an Italian illustrator and visual designer, in love with materials and the tactility of things. Born in Italy and educated at the Design School of Politecnico di Milano and at the AHO University, The Oslo School of Architecture and Design in Norway, he graduated with an MA degree in Product Design in 2011, in Milan.
He has been living in the Netherlands since 2012, working as a design assistant for Studio Formafantasma. In 2015 he decided to start pushing his personal research in the fields of illustration and visual design further. In the meantime he continues to collaborate and freelance for Formafantasma working on the edge between objects and images, design and illustrations.
Francesco works on a broad range of projects including drawing, illustration, painting, lettering and logo making, graphic design & image identity, three-dimensional installations and more.
Always trying to have a ‘hands-on’ approach, he prefers pencils to keyboards, paint to colour palettes, brushes to buttons, paper and scissors to copy-paste.
In 2015 No-Rocket was born, the place where all his personal research, ideas and passions meet up and take off.
