Erica Raggett graduated from California Polytechnic State University with a Bachelors of Science in Ecology and Systematic Biology and a Bachelors of Science in Animal Science. After learning about the disparity of education between social classes, she decided to pursue educational equity through working with Teach For America, a national non-profit organization aimed at closing the education gap in America. She worked at YES College Prep, a system of charter schools committed to ensuring that every student, despite their zip code, goes to college. At YES College Prep she worked as a teacher, District Science Content Specialist and Dean of Instruction. She also spent much of her time mentoring at-risk girls. She has volunteered with Redeemed Ministries as the Mentor Coordinator, coordinating mentors for survivors of human-trafficking. Erica is dedicated to ensuring that A 2nd Cup become a major hub of anti-trafficking education and action and a beacon of light to those still trapped in modern-day slavery.
