About the speaker

Kiana June Weber is a once-in-a-generation musician and public figure who fuses her classical training with a profound love for American and Irish folk music. Graduating early with a BM in violin performance from the University of Michigan SMTD, she delivered the commencement address to her class. In 2012, she made her mark as the fiddler for Celtic music favorite Gaelic Storm, recording four Billboard world No.1 albums. In 2017, Kiana ventured into her solo career, touring as a special guest with Grammy-winning Carlos Núñez, and in 2018 she originated the fiddle role on the first national tour of Broadway's hit Come From Away.
