About the speaker
Eliza Wing is a long-time meditator with over 20 years of practice. She is trained in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction which is considered the gold standard for secular mindfulness practice.
She is co-founder with Linda Barberic of Your Awakened Heart a collaborative based on the premise that the way to a fulfilled life is through an Awakened Heart. Linda and Eliza teach classes, workshops and lead retreats. They are also the coauthors of the upcoming books: “Soul Purpose Workbook: A Self-Directed Guide to Help You Arrive at Your Why” and “Soul Purpose Planner.” Eliza is the author of the book “Just Breathe: A Simple Guide to Mindful Meditation” which offers a clear, concise entry point into meditation and living mindfully.
Wing is currently the Chief Communications Officer for Cuyahoga County, Ohio. Previously, she was president and CEO of Cleveland.com, one of the first news and information sites established online and affiliated with Cleveland’s daily newspaper, The Plain Dealer. She has written for Rolling Stone Magazine, Self, New York Woman and Elle Magazine among other publications.
