About the speaker
Elina Frumerman is a designer and photographer living and working in San Francisco. Born in the former Soviet Union, raised in New Jersey, Elina has been an observer of the world around her for as long as she can remember. In her personal work she is passionate about making images and uses beauty as an entry point for curiosity and learning. Her work explores creating sensory experiences around food, portraiture and environment. She’s interested in how everyday experiences can turn into art and how the process of making influences the final product. Elina will be having a solo show at the Jones Institute November 9, 2019.
