Duzan Doepel

Architect Duzan Doepel and interior architect Eline Strijkers teamed up in 2007 to form DoepelStrijkers, led by the belief that an interdisciplinary approach to design leads to sustainable spaces and an enhanced user experience.



Working at the nexus between science and art, their work embodies the pioneering spirit through innovative design solutions to societal challenges. By translating these solutions into the built form and strategies for processes that add ecological and social value, this trans-disciplinary approach goes beyond the boundaries of a single area.



The projects they made in the last decade reflect these guiding principles and include installations, large-scale interiors, architectural and urban interventions. At the moment, their focus is on a disruptive solution for healthcare housing, a nature-based pavilion for the Floriade Expo, several museum conversions, new retail formulas and a radical concept for a building as a cluster of services.



DoepelStrijkers are recognized globally, through numerous publications, exhibitions and awards.
