Andrew Au

Andrew Au graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 2008 with a Bachelor's degree in Economics with a concentration in Management. Moving to Charlotte, Andrew worked with the Charlotte Eagles Soccer Club as a soccer Coach and Mentor for the Charlotte Urban Eagles, a program designed to make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth in inner-city Charlotte, before assuming the responsibilities as social media manager from 2011 to 2014. Today, he serves as the director of operations for Digital Charlotte and the Knight School of Communications at Queens University.

Andrew has become a passionate champion for digital inclusion for everyone who lives in the Queen City. Launched in 2011, Digital Charlotte is based on the premise that digital literacy skills are instrumental to creating educational and economic opportunities for all. Digital Charlotte was developed as a component in the Queens Knight School’s Master Plan to strengthen digital and media literacy in Charlotte. A key goal of the Master Plan is to engage students in digital and media literacy initiatives in the community, creating a culture of awareness and excitement surrounding digital and media literacy in the Queens Knight School of Communication.
