Shafrir formerly edited music news and features as senior editor at RollingStone.com, and covered a wide range of topics from culture to technology as Contributing Editor at New York Magazine. She is also a former editor at the New York Observer, Gawker, and Philadelphia Weekly. Before that, she was a History PhD program dropout. She is based in Los Angeles.
