About the speaker

Becky Pallack has been a journalist at newspapers in Arizona for 22 years and she has written a little bit about almost any topic you can think of. At the Arizona Daily Star, she and Irene McKisson built the local digital media brand #ThisIsTucson, which centers things to do and eat and talk about. Their new project is a new local news organization called Arizona Luminaria, which focuses on news and information for people who want to participate in civic life. She loves reading and craft beer and backpacking. She grew up in Yuma and lives in Tucson with her partner and her trusty sidekick, Rocket Dog.
