Creator and collaborator Denver Hutt explains what collaboration is (beyond a buzzword) and what it is not.

About the speaker

A Southern Californian by birth but Hoosier at heart, Denver Hutt attended Indiana University – Bloomington where she earned degrees in political science and criminal justice. Following her graduation in 2009, Hutt moved to Indianapolis where she has held roles focused on community development and engagement in both the for-profit and non-profit sectors.

In 2012, Hutt was named Executive Director of Central Indiana’s first collaborative work space, The Speak Easy. Under her leadership, The Speak Easy adopted a vision to “cultivate an entrepreneurial community in which its members create, collaborate and learn.” For the past three years, Hutt’s work at The Speak Easy has demonstrated her passion to connect community partners across Indianapolis in order to cultivate strategic relationships and advance economic opportunity.

Hutt is a recent graduate of the Stanley K. Lacey Executive Leadership Series (Class XXXIX). She also has been recognized as an Indianapolis Business Journal Forty Under 40 honoree, an Indianapolis Star Woman to Know and a Plan2020 CityCorps Fellow.
