I write words and help people find them | Freelance writer | Part-time poet | Full-time wellness enthusiast | Soon-to-be published author | Founder of Nurtured Narratives at Nurtured Narratives.
Sonya Matejko adores writing words and helping people find them(selves). As a writer, poet, author, and founder, she uses words to make people feel seen and heard (and does so using the Oxford comma). Her writing has appeared in The Atlantic, Forbes, Business Insider, HuffPost, Yoga Journal, and more. Her writing will soon appear on bookshelves with Everlasting Spring, her debut poetry collection (Yorkshire Publishing, January 21, 2025). Sonya is also the founder of Nurtured Narratives, a writing services company rooted in wellness, where she helps brands and female founders tell their stories (well). In a world of overflowing inboxes, unanswered texts, and TikToks, thereâs nothing quite like receiving a handwritten letter these days.
When you get a handwritten letter, you know that whoever gave it to you really took their time to write to you. And with time being so precious, getting this letter makes you feel seen and appreciated.
In this workshop, we will harness that feelingâand spread it far and wide.
Youâre invited to Dear You, a letter-writing workshop that welcomes you to express yourself to various people, places, and experiences in your life.
Whether youâre writing to a loved one or a place you love, this workshop will guide you in crafting a series of meaningful letters. (And it’s up to you whether you send or keep them!)
Sonya Matejko is a writer who gets people talking about well-being. As the founder of Nurtured Narratives, she serves brands, publishers, and entrepreneurs who do well by their customers and have stories to tell. Since starting her company, Sonya has crafted content for influential brands, like Amex, Betterment, Eden Health, and MetLife, on everything from workplace well-being to mental well-being to financial well-being. Meanwhile, her editorial work has been featured in The Atlantic, Forbes, HuffPost, and MIT Sloan Management Review. When she’s not writing stories, Sonya is hosting writing workshops, publishing her poetry on Instagram (@aforceofnurture), or—plot twist—teaching yoga. And she does it all from all over the world. These days, you’ll find her working remotely in Vienna, Austria, but you can always find her at www.nurturednarratives.com to learn more.

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.
Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.
Wear your beginnerâs hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!Â
Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings communityâjust like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgroundsâa lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.
Weâre all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things. Try âYes! AndâŠâ in conversation.
Itâs 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
