Creativity Coach and Teacher at Atop Serenity Hill.
I’m a Creativity Coach and Teacher who believes picking up the paintbrush is more important that what you produce with it! I use mixed media and art journaling to encourage others to play, and to find delight and freedom in their own creativity.
Setting an intention each month can bring clarity and focus to the time. Centering that intention around a specific word along with a visual reminder can make it even more powerful. Together we will create a deck of 12 cards that is colorful and simple to make.
Each card will hold your word, the name of the month and a place to add journaling. Ideas for how to choose words will be shared along with a PDF of word choices and the months to make it quick and easy to add to your cards.
Consie Sindet is a Creativity Coach and Teacher at Atop Serenity Hill. She’s been teaching creativity in many forms for 15+ years and before online classes were even a thing, she taught in-person art classes to hundreds of people.
Consie finds that art journaling is the most freeing way to express herself and wants us all to know that we can find freedom, playfulness, and joy by slapping down some paint, gluing magazine pages to a piece of paper, adding doodling & marks, finding a quote that screams…‘THIS IS HOW I FEEL TODAY!”…and calling it good enough. The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.
Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.
Wear your beginnerâs hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going!Â
Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings communityâjust like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgroundsâa lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.
Weâre all figuring things out in real time. Celebrate, rather than critique emerging ideas. Cheer each other on as you try new things. Try âYes! AndâŚâ in conversation.
Itâs 100% okay when a FieldTrip does not resonate with you. Pop out quietly and try another experience later. Fill out the survey with your feedback (no dms to host or chat commentary, please.)
