About the speaker
Born in 1991, Giulio Mosca is the creator of Baffo. He was born in Genoa and moved to Turin at the age of 20, after earning a scholarship to the IED (European Institute of Design) where he graduated in Graphic Design He began working as a freelancer already during his studies for several agencies throughout Italy. In 2014, shortly after graduating and being hired as a motion designer, he quit his job to found a startup in the food industry with two other partners. He is in charge of creative direction and communication. The Mustache character was born in Christmas 2016. In November 2017, the author's first graphic novel was released: "The Night of the Olive," published by ManFont; in April 2018, the second publication: "Sublime Quotidian Banalities," a collection of the cartoons published on the web flanked by several unpublished writings, also published by ManFont. Since February 2018 Giulio Mosca leaves his job in the startup he founded to devote himself entirely to his career as an author and in parallel he works as a consultant for several companies and teaches at the IED in Turin. In November 2018 his second graphic novel, "The End of Someone Else's World" (ManFont), is released. In October 2019, his first collection of illustrated poems for Longanesi, "Le Poesie si Possono Disegnare," was released, and in January 2021 his first graphic novel with a "major" was published: "Clorofilla," published by Feltrinelli.
