Brit and Nathan share their personal journeys and help us navigate how to rethink wellness in a way that moves us away from a reaction of fear and stress. Let’s all move away from a path of “shoulds” to making our own rules. The talk highlights that the most important aspects of wellness come down to mind, body, and community.

About the speaker

Brit Guerin and Nathan Williams are the founders and owners of Current Wellness in downtown Raleigh. This new destination for fitness, counseling, and food education brings together their passions and backgrounds in a unique co-working business model. As a mental health counselor and fitness professional (you may have taken one of her classes at Flywheel Sports or Heat Studios), Brit is fusing physical and mental health in her wellness practice. Nathan has a background in outdoor education (he works with Wellness and Recreation at NC State) and combines this love with his food obsession (he may have shucked your oysters at Locals Oyster Bar in Transfer Food Hall). Together, they encourage all of us to rethink our individual idea of wellness.
