Liz Melchor is an artist obsessed with drawing monkeys and the magic of mess-ups. Her blossoming as an artist developed through intention and a series of happy accidents that took her from journalism to hand-drawing to building her own robot pen plotters.

Yes, Liz builds and codes robots (ink-plotters), but she also builds community: she's the Founder and Co-Head of Storytelling Lisboa, a monthly live-storytelling event with 200+ attendees. She also ran a cultural hub called Curious Monkey that coincided with her obsession with drawing monkeys in unconventional mediums — like chocolate!

From Curious Monkey to robot pen plotters, Liz's unique path taught her to love the "mess-ups" that liberated her art and resulted in her profoundly curious wisdom.
