About the speaker
Benjamin Tallis teaches International Politics at Anglo-American University, Prague and is finishing a PhD on EU Borders and their relation to Security, Mobility and Identity, supervised at The University of Manchester. He is a former EU political and strategic advisor who worked in the Balkans and Former Soviet Union.
Operating at the intersections of politics, art, architecture, memory and history, he has written for several European publications including Art Review, Umelec, The Prague Post, The New Presence, Vlak and is a regular contributor to The Modernist, for whom he writes on CEE architecture, design and the politics of memory. Benjamin founded and facilitated the political discussion space ‘Everything is Political’ and founded and curated the Common Space Gallery.
