About the speaker

Ava Middleton is the creator of Inspire 913, a magazine for kids, by kids. Ten-year-old Ava created this magazine to inspire other kids in her community and surrounding areas to write and create art that ships.

Stephanie Carey has worked in local media and marketing for nearly 20 years. A self-proclaimed local media nerd, becoming a publisher at an alternative news magazine in her home town is her dream come true! She and her husband Adam have a spoiled rotten corgi named Tyrion (yes, that Tyrion.) Besides a weird obsession with sharks and true crime, she hasn’t met a vintage dress that she didn’t love.
