About the speaker
Jammy Zhu is an urban strategist based in Rotterdam, Associate at MVRDV, and co-founder of Spring Onion Atelier. She moves between worlds—urbanism and storytelling, public space and social design.
With a background in urban management from Erasmus University, Jammy is drawn to the messy, fascinating complexity of urban life. She tries to turn serious questions into light-hearted, accessible experiences for more people, by using placemaking, exhibitions, games, workshops, and playful installations to make global issues feel a little more human and a lot more fun.
This commitment is also demonstrated in exhibitions by MVRDV and T?F, such as The Green Factory, and the Winter School studio A Play for Space and Justice at the Amsterdam University of the Arts.
