Three local creatives take the stage to share their roots and their stories. Jules Huntsberger is a fiber artist based in Western North Carolina. With over thirty years of knitting experience, Jules offers knitting classes, workshops, and private instruction. Brent Skidmore is Associate Professor of Art & Art History at UNC Asheville, Director of Craft Studies, Advocate and Educator for the next generation of makers, mad maker himself, Co-Founder of UNC Asheville’s STEAM Studio @ the RAMP, MFA Indiana University, BFA Murray State University, current and past board service for Journeymen Asheville, the Center for Craft, Creativity & Design and the Craft Emergency Relief Fund+, teaching for 26 years at universities and many of the craft programs across the nation. Daniel Barber is in the business of living musically and works mainly with otherwise successful people who yearn for that, too. Barber designed a 6-phase process called TAP the Flow that helps individuals engage authentic musical presence, liberate their unique offerings, and claim their naturally powerful place in the world.
