Mitchell Kriegman is a business rebel and creative renegade. That rebel creativity is the source of his success.

Working early in his career on comedic sketches for Saturday Night Live, Mitchell became a triple Emmy-winning writer, director, and creator known for reshaping children’s television. He created and developed hit franchises at Disney, Nickelodeon, PBS, and The Jim Henson Company with shows like Bear in the Big Blue House, Rugrats, Ren & Stimpy, and Clarissa Explains It All.


Mitchell specializes in bringing story and character to new technologies by weaving physical and digital worlds together. He pioneered the patented “Shadowmation” — blending puppetry, live-action with real-time CG animation in virtual environments. He’s won multiple Daytime Emmys, written novels, and spent decades creating worlds that feel like “home” to viewers.

Now based in Lisbon, Mitchell continues to explore creative frontiers to share his voice with a new generation.
