Allison Scott

Allison is the Director of Policy and Programs for the Campaign for Southern Equality (CSE). She is a proud Asheville native who attended Reynolds and Erwin High Schools as well as AB Tech. Before coming to work at CSE Allison’s career was in Information Technology for over two decades. Last year after volunteering and donating her time in Asheville she made the career leap to the nonprofit sector to pursue her passion for LGBTQ advocacy. In 2018 she was chosen by USA Today to be one of the 50 Faces of Pride for NC. Over the last 6 years she has collaborated on many initiatives such as working with NC schools to implement inclusive LGBTQ affirming policies, introducing a bill to stop the harmful practice of conversion therapy on minors, and leading programs such as name change clinics in the trans and nonbinary community. For three years Allison served on CPAC, the Asheville Citizen’s Police Advisory Council, who’s mission was working to help resolve issues that arise between the community and local law enforcement. Currently she also serves as the treasurer for Girls Rock Asheville.
