Through recounting her own lived experiences, Abena breaks down how anxiety can manifest and shares a few helpful tools to help us regain harmony and balance.

In her talk, Abena dives into the idea that anxiety impedes a person’s ability to learn and shares her own journey learning about and managing her own anxiety. Through spending time in Ghana to gain more understanding about the process of how the Shea butter she uses in her products is made, Abena learned more about herself than she expected. She highlights the importance of being honest with yourself and developing healthy self talk as cornerstones in being able to get through those moments of anxiousness, because we are all worthy of being calm and at peace.
