Aashim captures the overlooked, paradoxical and even ironic fragments of the imperfect cities we live in.
About the speaker
Aashim Tyagi is an artist working with photography, design, and text. Moving between observation and abstraction, his practice explores memory, disappearance, and transformation through the city and its people. Quietly subversive, his images of architecture, public spaces, and transit examine the flattening effects of global design and consumer aesthetics. He is the founder of
the long-running Street Type Archive, a project mapping the cultural afterlife of typography in the built environment. His work spans research, editorial commissions, zines, publications, prints, exhibitions, and long-form visual essays.
