Families, gather around the table to tell stories and share life.

I encourage you to recalibrate and find that compass. Allow it to guide you towards your [younger 5 or 50 year old version's] dream.

Remember the dream. Remember what that dream was and why you started in the first place... not the things that dream gets you, not the things that you want the dream to give to you. Remember your original dream. Remember your 10 year old self - what did they want out of life?

What can I do to give back to the community that's given me so much?

I wanted to be able to make use of my skills everyday.

I turned to my own internal compass of what success looks like and not what other people define as successful.

It didn't feel like home to me. It didn't feel like I was actually living in my purpose. It felt like I was getting ready to sell my soul.

Living in your purpose creates results. It works if you actually live in your purpose and remember the initial dream.

I recalibrated and readjusted my compass.

Many of us surrender early. Many of us give up on our dreams when we're very close to that breakthrough.

My compass at the time, my muse, was just 'things.'

I had many unspoken expectations of what a successful rapper would look like.

We don't need more star designers, more ego entrepreneurs nor more angry citizens. We need more change.

I see activism as a sort of compass, and I use my entrepreneurship skills as a map to actually make stuff happen. And then use design as the default mindset to actually go there.

Activism is about actions, it is not about –isms. It doesn't really matter if we all think the same, is about how can we make change go further.

Facts don't change our societal system, our interpretation of reality does, what we do with the facts does.

There is no changing the system if you don't partake in it

In order to actually make structural changes in the world, you have to be part of the structure

There is absolutely no victory in watching the world fall apart and screaming “I told you!” while doing so

Your job as a designer is to create better experiences that help to make this society a better place

We are actively being designed by the things by the things that we have designed

You have the power to change the way that people think and look at stuff through the tools that they use
