I photograph people for businesses and publications. I love reading sci-fi & fantasy novels and pull a lot of inspiration from books and music into my work.

Lighting! Light is everything to me, and I've spent a lot of time mastering light, how it shapes a scene, how it affects the subject of a scene, how light sets mood and tells a story - light is the only reason we can see (besides those eyes in our heads). It's important!

Marketing & promoting my work. People tell me all the time they wish they knew about the things I do. I'm not super good at promoting how I can help people with my photography services as well as the physical prints and other things I make.

Don't compare your weaknesses to the strengths of others.

Empathy. Believing that what someone else believes is believable (and not crazy) goes a long way in creating more equitable communities.

Matters what you mean. If you mean career in terms of what pays the bills, then I don't know - anything I suppose. I'd probably work at a university teaching. Politics if I believed I could actually make a change. But, if you mean what am I busy about with my life: then photography and philosophy will be part of my career no matter what I'm doing for work. It's just that big

Two things come to mind: Ansel Adams' Exposure Chart & The last 2,500 years of history (in centuries, and not always super specific haha!).

Patience is a skill that anyone can learn & it starts with being patient with yourself.

Any gif with good colors and a clever loop. I love illustrated gifs.
